The sound of grumbled curses mixed with the sound of a broom sweeping the hard wooden floor filled the slightly stuffy room. It was nearing dusk, as the sun could be seen setting though the window on the west side of the room, and it had already been a long day for the teen. There had been club activities, which is why he was doing this now instead of doing so earlier.
How did he get roped into this?
The youth had just stepped out of the locker room, his now dirty uniform stuffed in the small duffel bag. He was just about to leave when someone had grabbed his shoulder. Blinking, he turned to look at his taller friend.
"Yoshikumi?" he asked curiously. It was rare that the other boy was still here after club activities.
"Hey Ichibara.. Can you do something for me?" his friend asked.
Ichibara knew at that moment that he should have said 'no', but he couldn't ignore that nearly desperate expression on Yoshikumi's face. It made him look rather pathetic. The smaller teen nodded once before looking back up at the other.
"Great! I have a date tonight with Kimiko-chan... Could you do my cleaning duties?" Yoshikumi asked.
He had been afraid of that. A favor from the other usually meant taking over something for him. Ichibara was about to deny when his friend put his hands together in a begging gesture.
"Please Ichibara! I promise that I'll make it up to you!" He begged.
The spiky haired teen rolled his eyes, "And why didn't you clean up while I was at practice?" he asked.
Yoshikumi seemed at a loss before he smiled sheepishly, "I er... forgot honestly."
Ichibara scoffed before he waved his hand in a dismissing gesture, "Fine fine, go on your damn date already."
His friend's dark eyes brightened as a grin broke out on his face. Yoshikumi place his hand on the smaller teen's shoulder, "Thanks Ichibara, you wont regret it." With that said, the shorted haired teen took off down the hall.
The spiky haired brunette sighed faintly before slowly making his way to their classroom.
And that's how it happened. Ichibara glared at the floor as if it was the reason this had happened. Why couldn't he ever say 'no' to his friend? Who knew. He and Yoshikumi had been friends for two years now; perhaps that was why?
The teen paused to look out the window at the sunset. He silently raked his thin calloused fingers though those spiky mahogany locks, almost as if to check if his hair was still, in fact, spiked. "I'm never going to help him with this again," he vowed to himself before he continued to clean the classroom.
Ebony eyes focused on what he was doing as his thoughts wandered.

"Come on, Nii-san. It's getting late and you know I hate walking home in the dark.." The taller boy said with a slight whine to his voice, once again glancing about the empty hall. Mentally praying that no one remained in the building, and if so then they wouldn't end up walking down this particular hallway, considering how large the school was.
And yet his focus was once again destroyed by that wicked mouth, ice blue orbs snapping shut as a devilish lapped at the sensitive patch of skin just behind his ear. Causing his usually strong and stable knees to weaken, soon threatening to buckle from the torturous but pleasant sensations assaulting his body. Heart beat speeding up a bit, it was so hard to resist his elder brother, especially when he was so determined to turn him in to a puddle of goo.
Feeling himself start to slid down the wall a bit, Ven took in a deep and shuddering breath, before sliding his hands up his twin's back. Exhaling slowly in order to keep his resolve, strong hands planting themselves upon equally strong shoulders and pushing forward. Barely managing to extract his elder brother off of him, staring in to slightly annoyed yet amused crimson eyes. "We need to head home, Nii-san."
For a long moment, there was nothing but silence between them, Kouji didn't move an inch as he simply stared up at the taller teen. Shrugging out of his hold after another few minutes, stepping back and straightening his shirt. A deceptively delicate looking hand carefully sliding through his long silver tresses, pausing slightly when a digit snagged upon a small tangle. Which was easily removed before slipping free and falling back to his side wordlessly.
"I have to retrieve my pencil box from the classroom up ahead before we can leave. That stupid teacher confiscated it for no reason, since those annoying girls kept pestering me and trying to take this or that color from it." The older boy grumbled, adding a few choice curses under his breath as an after thought.
Almost storming down the hall towards said classroom at the mere reminder of why he had stayed so long after club activities. Yes, it was true he did enjoy fooling around a little with his twin in the empty building now and then. But, today had been different, all he had honestly wished to do after their respective clubs had finished their activities for the day was head home.
Reaching the door of the classroom after a couple minutes, Kouji took in a deep breath to calm himself, before sliding the door open and blinking slightly in surprise. There was some unknown teen staring off after the sunset holding a broom. Tilting his head to the side slightly, noting that his twin had taken up area right behind him.
"He's kind of cute, Nii-san.." Ven whispered in to his ear, receiving a slight nod from the shorter teen.

Without noticing the two teens in the doorway, he calmly finished the cleaning that needed to be done. Despite the fact he hadn't wanted to do this, he did a pretty damn good job. Ichibara wasn't as lazy as some people thought he was. The brunette turned to place the cleaning supplies in the closet near the back of the room.
"Stupid Yoshikumi," he grumbled as he moved to his desk, where his small duffel bag sat. The spiky haired teen never liked sitting up front, so not many people even knew he was in their class. Despite this, Ichibara Jun was fairly well known. He had won each Kendo tournament since his first year of High School.
The brunette was rather small for his age, however, standing at only 161 centimeters. His short mahogany locks were nearly always spiked, making him look slightly more intimidating despite his height. His uniform was always warn correctly, except for the top two buttons on both his jacket and collared shirt were unbuttoned. It was difficult to read what the short teen was feeling, though he never met anyone who could read him.
He slung the bag over his shoulder as he turned to the exit, starting in surprise. How long had they been standing there?
"Oh, did you need something?" he asked softly, looking from one to the other. He recognized them as students from his class, but names weren't coming to mind. Ichibara was horrible with names, but he was good with faces.
"Uh.. I was just leaving." He stated before moving to leave, waiting calmly for them to step out of the way.

It wasn't normal for him to simply stand in silence, seemingly speechless at the mere sight of another person, let alone someone he saw on a regular basis at school. Well... He paused in his mental rationalization, reviewing his words for a second before correcting himself with the tiniest of smiles tugging at the corner of his mouth. Ven.. is the only exception to that 'rule'. After all, Kouji had to admit that his 'younger' brother tended to make him speechless on a nightly basis and not simply in the intimate sense.
Shoving aside his temporary confusion, while absently brushing long silver tresses over his shoulder, shifting slightly and finding himself far closer to his twin than before. Instincts had urged him to seek comfort from the one and only source available; Ven.
A gentle touch to his back and soft whisper of the others private nickname for him was all it took to soothe his slightly frazzled nerves. Which saved him the embarrassment of jumping out of his own skin when brunet suddenly turned towards them, let alone spoke directly to them.
"We just came to retrieve Nii-san's pencil box." The spiky haired twin said in a soft tenor, discreetly placing his hand on his brother's right hip and giving it a gentle squeeze. He wasn't fond of the tension he could feel coming from the older teen, instincts told him to soothe it away as best he could in the unsettling situation.
"But.. I'll just get it tomorrow. It's getting rather late after all." Kouji said a bit hastily, turning abruptly and placing his hands firmly upon Ven's stomach. Using the bit of leverage to push his twin backward to allow his escape. Before sliding past the slightly taller teen, grabbing his hand in the process and tugging him along as he hurried down the hall away from the classroom and it's unsettling occupant.

Ichibara stared at the empty space in shock, "Am I that scary?" he asked aloud to no one before shaking his head lightly. Sure, that was the reaction he preferred instead of the one he got when his hair was worn down. He had noticed that the two boys looked quite a bit alike, so they were probably brothers. The brunette wouldn't know what it was like to have a brother, seeing as he was the only male in his family anymore. Maybe that's why he was so keen of repelling people?
With a light shrug, he stepped though the door and down the hall to the staircase. "It's not my problem," he murmured softly as he made his way down them. He honestly didn't mind that the only real friend he had was Yoshikumi, and even then he wasn't that great of a friend. Charcoal colored orbs slipped closed for a moment as he thought about it. Ichibara was always the one to be ditched when a pretty girl was in question.
Opening his eyes, he decided that it was normal. Though that didn't irritate him any less.
Still, he wondered why the shorter silver haired teen ran off like that with his brother being nearly dragged behind him. "Oh well, no use thinking about it too much." he muttered.

Silence had been his undesired companion on the way home, a simple glance to his side reminded him that there was indeed another person present. Though, what truly bother him was the lack of contact between himself and his brother. Typically, Kouji had a hold of his hand or an arm around his waist, the contact was soothing and normally washed away all the stress from his day at school.
"Kooie?" Ven whispered the nickname, tentatively placing his arm around the other boys shoulders. Unable to stop himself from flinching when his twin side stepped away from him slightly. Heart clenching a bit painfully, dropping his arm with a sigh before stuffing his hands in to his pockets.
"Grammie will be in bed by the time we get home.. So just grab a couple bottles of tea and the left over rice balls in the fridge. I'll make sure everything is locked up properly before heading upstairs." Kouji murmured softly, not bothering to apologize for his lack of affection or how he had responded to his brother's attempt at comforting him.

On his way home, the brunette stopped at the local convenience store like his mother had asked him too. The way he figured it was that it was just easier for him to pick it up instead of having one of his sisters do it. They usually got distracted by something cute and ended up bringing home more then what was intended.
Ichibara calmly entered the small shop, smiling at the elderly man who was usually there to care for the store.
"Hey Jun-kun!" The old man greeted cheerfully, "Here for the usual?" he asked lightly.
Jun merely nodded as he went to gather everything that was on the list he kept in mind. "Kirei-chan wanted to come, but kaasan told her no this time," the teen said with a soft laugh, "she might come with me next time though, when I'm not stopping by right after school."
"Did you have to stay late after club activities?" The shopkeeper asked curiously as he watched the youth pick though the fresh fruit.
"Yeah, Yoshikumi had a date, so I did his cleaning duties for him."
The old man laughed lightly, as that seemed to happen often, before he calmly began to ring up Jun's purchases.
With that done, the brunette thanked the old man and left.
Once Ichibara got home, however, he was immediately bombarded by a little girl with raven hair pulled up into pigtails. The little girl grinned up at him as he gave a soft laugh, "Kirei-chan, at least let me get in the house and put everything down before you attack me."
Kirei snickered before she ran off, causing Jun to roll his eyes.

Approaching the older style house which belonged to their grandmother, Ven removed his keys from his pocket, easily sifting through the mass of keys and key chains until he found the right one. Simply taking the lead out of instinct, calmly opening the front gate before hopping up the four steps of the porch, glancing back at his twin as the other closed the gate behind them. Frowning slightly at the lack of emotion in those beautiful crimson orbs that perfectly contrasted his own ice blue.
Shaking away the wave of depression that was beginning to descend upon him, the spiky haired teen sighed softly before unlocking the door. Pushing it open just enough for the both of them to slip inside, leaving it open behind him before heading for the kitchen to retrieve their meager dinner. Turning off the living room lamp in passing, it was always the one thing left on by their grandmother, her attempt to ward off any thieves.
Passing the small hall that lead to her bedroom, Ven paused and smiled softly to himself, "Good night, Grammie."
Hearing the door shut finally, the ice blue eyed teen pushed away from the wall and continued to the kitchen, chuckling softly to himself upon seeing the note left by the woman of the house. The laughter still rumbling in his chest as the teen walked over to the counter, lightly batting the triangle of paper from atop the overstuffed plate of food covered by cling wrap. Picking up said plate carefully, unwrapping it easily and tossing the crumpled plastic wrap in to the trash near by, before sliding the plate in to the microwave with a smile.

By some miraculous feat, Jun managed to get to him room unscathed. Unscathed, of course, meaning without lipstick all over his face. All of his sisters, except for his younger one, were away on some field trip. This was a time that Ichibara was glad he went to a different school.
After he closed the door, he opened the blinds to his window. It always got so hot in his room, he figured that it wouldn't hurt to keep the window open all the time. Besides, whoever lived next door and had the window right across from his always kept theirs shut tightly. Sometimes he would speculate on who exactly lived in that room, but usually he gave up and went about whatever he had been doing before he thought about it.
The brunette shrugged and took a seat at his desk, which happened to be near the window so that he was completely visible if someone were to look though the window. Not that he cared. As far as Jun was concerned, he wasn't much to look at anyway.
With that thought in mind, he calmly began to do his homework.
