The sound of the rain beating against the window distracted Jaysin. He had been working on a musical piece for the past three hours and it was beginning to irritate him. The one thing he hated most was having a writer's block and here he was, sitting alone in his apartment with one. It was his day off and he had planned to enjoy the evening by writing a song or two but now that plan was ruined. "It's all the rain's fault." he whispered to himself, finding other things to blame other than himself.
In a swift and quick movement he threw the pencil across the room towards the window and listened as it hit it's target with a loud 'tap' before falling to the wooden floor. He placed his hand down against the lined paper and looked over the few words he had managed to write down. Curling his fingers he gathered the paper into his hand crumpling it and let out a loud sigh. He tossed it towards the window and watched as it bounced off the glass before joining the pencil.
"So much for enjoying the evening." He pushed himself up from the floor and shifted his eyes around his living room. Around the floor balls of paper were scattered about. All of them had been songs he had tried to write but ended up disappointed with them. Bringing his hands up to his face, he rubbed his eyes then made his way back to his bedroom, deciding to spend the night out on the town instead.
Jaysin simply threw on a pair of jeans and his leather jacket. He had been walking around his apartment in just a pair of boxers and a white tee so he was already half dressed. He debated for a moment whether to bring an umbrella or not but soon realized the rain had come to a stop. Good. he thought to himself and made his way to the front door. He slipped on a pair of all black Converse shoes and headed out, making his way to a bar that wasn't too far from his apartment building.
As he exited his apartment building the humidity from the rain quickly surrounded him and the smell it had left behind was quite pleasant. He smiled thoughtfully to himself and went onward towards the bar. He wondered if he would run into any friends or make new ones tonight and hoped that sooner or later his muse would come back to him. He wasn't able to write any songs lately. It seems he had lost his muse all together.
Reaching the bar he shoved the bar door open with his shoulder, keeping his hands comfortably in his jean pockets. He shifted his light brown eyes from one bar patron to another and let out a sigh of disappointment. There wasn't a single soul he recognized. No matter. He never minded making a new friend. He slipped himself onto one of the bar stools and waited patiently for the bar keep to take his order.
