These are the standard rules for Cursed Souls. We want everyone to read them over very thoroughly and you won't have an excuse not to! I don't want to sound like a school teacher or a reprimanding mother, but you must follow the rules of the site or suffer the consequences--mainly being banned for a temporary time or even being deleted. Thanks much, we greatly appreciate your cooperation!
[1] You MUST apply before posting on Cursed Souls. I just can't seem to stress this enough. You may never post anything on the roleplay section of the forum before Orimis has accepted your application and you into Cursed Souls.
--More on Applications--
It's like a job application. You have to show us-- the administrators Youko and Lin--what you can do and how well you can do it. If you don't do it well enough you'll have to try again, but you have a limit of three tries before you will be denied from registration in CS. There is also a limit to mistakes (typos, grammar mess-ups, etc.) in your applications. After you exceed five mistakes, you will be asked to apply again. No exceptions! Applications will be reviewed and accepted by Orimis or Kujika and no one else unless specified by Youko or Lin.
--Use your best writing and grammar skills on your applications! The minimum of an application is three paragraphs, but we highly recommend using more.
--Detail is crucial! Describe the setting, character(s) and anything else with precision! Do your best!
[2] No power playing or god moding. This means taking control of another person's character. It's pretty simple, right? Right! Simple!
[3] No more than five people can enter a role play at once. This can get messy and hard to follow. Please don't do this.
[4] Watching your grammar and spelling counts ALL the time! Don't slack off just because you're not role playing. Idle chat does count when it comes to keeping up on your literacy. This means no "chat speak." (Examples of this poor excuse for grammar include 'u', 'r', 'wut', ect. and also using numbers to replace letters and words.)
[5] Respect all members. Even if you have a certain grudge against a particular member, please do not harass or provoke them. If someone is aggravating you, please contact Youko or Lin and notify us of the matter. The warning list (also known as the three-point system) is as follows:
-First Warning: You get a warning from one of the staff members. You get off easy this time.
-Second Warning: You are banned for a temporary period.
-Third Warning: You are notified via e-mail and your account is deleted. We won't tolerate trouble-makers!
[6] One-Liners are Forbidden! We understand a one- or two-lined reply to a role play every so often, but having a role play that consists almost entirely of replies that are under the standard amount for a paragraph is unacceptable. We ask that you keep the MAJORITY of your posts near four or five sentences, or more. However, going under the limit is fine every once in a while, but don't abuse this privilege!
[7] No over-sized signatures! Please, do not place large pictures or create large open spaces in your signature! This makes it seem like there's a lot of wasted space on a page, and isn't very appealing. The maximum size of an image should never exceed 500x200 (width x height).
The rules will be updated occasionally; please check to see if any changes have been made. We will most likely put up a notice.
Thank you for reading these (we’re assuming you did, anyway) and have a wonderful role playing experience!
